Why FastTrack

Engineering built around real-world execution.

FastTrack Engineering delivers engineered, practical support for complex, large-scale commercial and heavy industrial projects where precision, safety, and accountability matter. Our industrial lift planning solutions are built around real-world execution, integrating lift planning, custom rigging design, ground analysis, and on-site engineering oversight to ensure every move is safe, efficient, and fully compliant.

Each project is engineered around your scope, schedule, and safety requirements, reducing risk while supporting consistent, reliable execution from planning through completion. After initial coordination, FastTrack Engineering (FTE) applies industrial lift planning solutions that account for real-world site conditions, equipment constraints, and operational demands.

From plant relocations to heavy equipment installations, FTE provides industrial lift planning solutions grounded in field-proven engineering experience that keeps operations moving forward. When precision matters, FTE delivers.

Built for the Challenge. Powered by People.

Bring your project ideas to a team that thrives on collaboration, values clear thinking, and genuinely enjoys the challenge of complex work. We believe great engineering happens when smart people are aligned, engaged, and trusted to solve problems together.

From early planning through execution, we take the time to fully understand scope, site conditions, and real-world constraints. That care shows up in how we work, asking the right questions, sharing ideas openly, and applying experience where it matters most. Our approach is built on shared problem-solving, attention to detail, and pride in doing the work the right way. By aligning engineering insight with hands-on execution, we move projects forward with confidence, momentum, and a sense of purpose we’re proud of.

Engineering Answers for Complex Industrial Projects

A lift plan is an engineered document that defines how a load will be lifted safely: crane selection and configuration, load weight and center of gravity, rigging, radius and capacity checks, ground conditions, clearances, and the step-by-step lift sequence. You need one for any critical or complex lift, and many owners, general contractors, and insurers require an engineered lift plan before heavy equipment is moved on their site.

A critical lift is a lift with elevated risk, typically one that approaches a high percentage of the crane's rated capacity (often 75% or more), uses two or more cranes, lifts personnel, takes place near power lines, or passes over occupied areas, operating facilities, or critical equipment. ASME P30.1 provides guidance on classifying lifts, and many sites set their own critical-lift criteria. Critical lifts should always have a written, engineered plan.

Not for every lift. OSHA 29 CFR 1926 Subpart CC requires a plan developed by a qualified person for multiple-crane lifts (1926.1432), specific planning and a pre-lift meeting for hoisting personnel (1926.1431), and planning before work near power lines (1926.1408). Beyond OSHA, most owners, general contractors, and site safety programs require an engineered lift plan for heavy or complex lifts.

You need one whenever crane outrigger or track loads could exceed what the soil, slab, or pavement can safely support, such as lifts on fill, near excavations, over utilities, or on existing floor slabs. OSHA 1926.1402 makes the controlling contractor responsible for adequate ground conditions. FastTrack Engineering calculates ground bearing pressures and designs crane mat and cribbing layouts so the ground can carry the load.

A below-the-hook lifting device is any engineered device between the crane hook and the load, such as a spreader bar, lifting beam, or custom lifting fixture. These devices are designed to ASME BTH-1 and used in accordance with ASME B30.20. FastTrack Engineering designs custom rigging devices and lift points for machinery and non-standard loads.

To start, we need the load weight and dimensions (or equipment drawings), the pick and set locations, a site plan or photos showing access and obstructions, known ground or slab conditions, the crane or rigging you plan to use (if selected), and your schedule. If some details are unknown, our team can help gather them through a site survey.

FastTrack Engineering provides industrial engineering support for heavy lift planning and 3D lift simulation, custom rigging design, machinery moving, civil and mechanical engineering, temporary works design, ground bearing analysis, equipment layout, site coordination, and on-site engineering oversight and project management. FTE helps contractors, crane companies, manufacturers, and industrial teams plan complex work safely and efficiently, from early planning through final placement.

FastTrack Engineering serves heavy industrial, manufacturing, construction, energy, infrastructure, transportation, data center, and plant relocation projects. FTE supports projects where heavy equipment, complex rigging, engineered lifting, or site-specific planning is required.

You should involve FastTrack Engineering as early as possible, ideally during planning, bidding, pre-construction, or before equipment arrives on site. Early engineering support helps identify access issues, crane requirements, rigging needs, ground conditions, and safety concerns before they become expensive problems.

Still Don't Have an Answer? Wanna Talk?

Our engineering team is ready to support your project with expert guidance and timely, practical answers to the challenges you’re facing.

Precision planning. Proven execution. No room for error.

Below are three examples of the precision and capability you can expect from Fast Track Engineering: a heavy lift erection of a vertical industrial process tower built on engineered lift planning and executed with exacting control, a hydraulic gantry installation of a large pressure vessel in a confined indoor environment, and an indoor transformer set completed using a fully engineered slide and jacking system.

Every project begins with detailed planning, disciplined execution, and respect for the risks involved, and from the first calculation to final placement, our work is driven by engineering and delivered with absolute precision.
